Little did the Dutch East Indies Company know the influence that tea would have on culture, society, industry & literature when it was delivered to England. Learn how one plant revolutionized an entire nation! We will use the writings of Jane Austen to explore the role that tea played in Regency Era England. Patricia Dennison, Certified Tea Sommelier & owner of Palmer Place Fine Teas will present "Tea time with Jane Austen" on May 8th at 6:30pm. Samples of tea will be served accompanied by scones. Palmer Place Fine Teas will have an assortment of teas and accessories available for purchase.
